Hello! I’m Rachel and I have a love for food and all things healthy! I love creating simple, delicious and healthy recipes that are family friendly. My husband, Jake, and I have 4 kids, a hobby farm, careers and life is busy!
Over the past 4 years I’ve had a complete mind shift on food. I use to cook and make food, sure, when I was hungry… but mostly for enjoyment. After our 3rd baby I was struggling to loose weight more than ever. I felt like going to the gym was impossible with 3 kids, 3 and under and my “dieting” wasn’t getting me anywhere. I started following a clean eating meal plan and doing at home workouts hoping to loose 10 pounds so I could fit into my jeans. I ended up losing (and keeping off) 50 pounds! I never expected that to happen.
The best part is I don’t feel restricted in my eating. During my health and fitness journey I have been coming up with cleaner ways to make, and enjoy, the same dishes my family has always loved. I’m a believer in family friendly recipes. Our kids eat what we do! This momma is busy and the kids need to be fueled right too!
A little more about me… We live in Minnesota and love all things agriculture… especially beef cattle! We’ve been around it our whole lives and it’s part of who we are. We have a garden, animals and our kids love being part of it all! You’re sure to see glimpses of our farm life around my blog too!
